Nestled within 1,200 acres of picturesque Yorkshire countryside, Ampleforth Abbey has been a sanctuary for a community of Benedictine monks since 1802. At the heart of this historic site stands Alban Roe House, a prominent building that has recently undergone a major restoration.
Now a vibrant hub for visitors, the ground floor of Alban Roe House houses a captivating Visitor Experience, a welcoming Tea Room and Abbey Shop.
To enhance the visitor journey, we were commissioned to design all the graphics for the Visitor Experience areas. This included engaging interpretation panels, wall coverings, object labels and a series of interactive activity stations designed to delight and educate guests of all ages. Our aim was to create a cohesive and enriching experience that celebrates the Abbey’s rich history and spiritual significance.
